Children's Campaign, Inc. Supports Florida's People, Florida's Promise
Coalition Advocacy is On-Message in Election Year 2008
Children's Campaign, Inc. today announced support for electoral awareness activities conducted by Florida's People, Florida's Promise. Brought together in reaction to cuts made by the 2008 Florida Legislature, and fearful of another devastating round to take place later in the year, Florida's People, Florida's Promise was created by AARP, CBC of Seminole, Children's Home Society of Florida, Florida Coalition for Children, and Florida Tax Watch.
Children's Campaign, Inc. signed the pledge agreement and encourages others to follow suit.
"We are positioned to support community groups and individuals who share our concern for Florida's children and citizens," said Roy Miller, President of Children's Campaign, Inc.
The first town hall meeting is set for Saturday, August 16th, 9 a.m. - noon, Conference Center, Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 1217 Trinity Woods Lane, Maitland, FL 32751.
