Job Description
Responsible for ensuring the technology infrastructure is properly implemented, configured, maintained, and supported.
Detailed Task Execution
- Actively maintain communication with Executive Staff about organization’s current events and issues
- Responsible for administration of Windows Server 2003 server running Active Directory and Linux CentOS server serving as router, firewall and file server.
- Supervise and guide junior interns on their responsibilities and roles
- Regularly check status and operating condition of:
- Servers
- Hardware – operating temperature, condition of components (hard drive health, etc)
- Software – regularly check event logs for unusual behavior, maintain implemented security policies
- Workstations
- Printers
- Networking infrastructure
- Phone system
- Regularly check status and viability of backup solutions, both of the local and remote nature
- Actively ensure that front-end users are able to perform daily tasks using all implemented technology
- Research and propose new solutions as the organization expands and grows
- Perform miscellaneous tasks assigned by front-end users to meet deadlines and distribute workloads in an efficient manner

Messaging Administrator

Job Description
Primarily responsible for managing and maintaining the Convio database messaging system. This includes but is not limited to adding, deleting, and maintaining members within the Convio database, managing outbound messages, maintaining and creating reports and improving outreach methods using statistical analysis.
Partially responsible for managing the newly-integrated Web 2.0 infrastructure and social networking with the help of other interns.
Also helps the event planner with coordinating Campaign to Protect Children town hall meetings. This includes communicating with individuals and organizations involved with the Campaign, organizing outreach methods towards students, businesses, non-profit organizations and legislature, and helping to create audio-visual presentations.Detailed Task Execution

- Performs the Convio daily routine when present in the office
- Designs, writes, edits, and distributes "Breaking News", “Front Burner”, and press release email communications

- Supports the Legislative Team and Communication Team in gathering data and presenting it.
- Stays up to date on current events involving Florida’s Children and sends out daily news reports.

- Design banners, logos, layout publications for the Campaign.

- Check the website for errors both of a typographical and technical nature
Requirements
- Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS
- Exposure to Dreamweaver and Photoshop is preferred
- Ability to multi-task effectively
